It was a wonderful event and brought into sharp focus the dedication of our Civil Service community whose members work tirelessly day-in, day-out for the country. It was a great honour to be invited to this special occasion by our Royal Patron.
His Majesty The King recognises civil servants across the United Kingdom

This week, The King welcomed staff and trustees from the Charity for Civil Servants to Buckingham Palace as part of the Civil Service community for an evening reception. The evening was a celebration of the work of civil servants across the UK.
Charity CEO, Jonathan Freeman MBE said:
As Patron, King Charles continues an unbroken Royal tradition reaching back to Queen Victoria and the founding of the Charity for Civil Servants, then Civil Service Benevolent Fund, in 1886.
Jonathan added:
We were incredibly proud to have the opportunity to bring a few members of staff and our longest-serving trustee to represent the Charity at the Royal reception. It’s a real testament to our hard-working staff who hold up that crucial umbrella of support for civil servants when life gets tough.
The Charity, funded through donations by civil servants, supports current, former and retired civil servants across their whole lifetime, free of charge.
