About the app
Grief Works is an innovative app for anyone who is grieving or dealing with anticipatory grief of a loved one.
The Grief Works app draws on 30 years of professional experience of a leading grief expert, Julia Samuel.
The app contains 28 sessions of grief-specific advice to help you to manage the range of emotions. It also offers a toolkit of practical resources to help you manage grief. You have the option of live 1-to-1 text chats with a bereavement counsellor too.
Here’s how to activate your complimentary 1-year access.
How to get the app
Go to the Charity for Civil Servants portal:
- Click the log-in to portal button below.
- Sign in to the portal. Or register for an account if you haven’t got one already.
Once you are in, you’ll need to register for the app:
- Go to ‘Apply for Help’. Then, ‘Services’.
- Select Grief Works app from the options and click ‘Start Application’.
Once you have submitted the short application, you’ll get a message in your portal account telling you how to download the app. It will give you an access code to activate your licence for a year.
Help with using the app
If you already have Grief Works on your phone, you can update your licence by clicking the ‘Already a user? Log in’ option.
If you have problems accessing the app, uninstall it from your phone and start the process again from the second stage.
