UK Government's Civil Society Covenant

The Charity for Civil Servants has welcomed the announcement of the UK Government’s Civil Society Covenant. Launched by the Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, it marks the ‘new beginning’ of a relationship with civil society to tackle some of society’s most pressing issues.

Charity for Civil Servants CEO, Jonathan Freeman MBE said:

I’m really pleased that the Charity for Civil Servants is able to contribute to the launch of the government’s Civil Society Covenant. We are delighted that the Charity’s new Interchange Programme, has been featured alongside so many incredible organisations, as a cornerstone of the Covenant.

Our Interchange Programme is a very practical way in which we can provide opportunities for the UK Civil Service to better understand the work of the voluntary sector, as well as supporting their own Charity.

Jonathan added:

The Charity very much looks forward to continuing our engagement with DCMS over the autumn and building on this exciting partnership.
