Mental Health Awareness Week: You’re not alone

Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May) is a moment to pause and reflect on the importance of looking after our wellbeing, and to remind every civil servant that support is always there when it’s needed.

We provide free, confidential support for current, former and retired civil servants, and their dependants. Whether you’re dealing with everyday pressures or something more complex, you don’t have to manage it on your own. From emotional wellbeing and mental health support to practical guidance and financial help, we’re here to help you find a way forward.

Support that makes a difference

Every day, colleagues across the Civil Service turn to us for support. Sometimes it starts with a conversation, having someone listen without judgement. From there, we can help connect you to the right support, whether that’s counselling, wellbeing tools, or tailored guidance to help you feel more in control.

The Charity helped me look after my mental health. It’s about having someone to listen to you and tell you you’re going to be alright. I don’t think I would have got through that time without their help.

Take a step for your wellbeing

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re also inviting you to take a positive step for your own wellbeing by joining our Mega Miles Challenge.

However, you choose to take part, walking, running, cycling or wheeling, every mile helps to:

  • raise awareness of mental health across the Civil Service
  • build connection with colleagues and teams
  • fund vital support for those who need it most

It’s a simple way to look after your own wellbeing while supporting others at the same time.

Join Mega Miles

Sign up to Mega Miles today and be part of something that brings the Civil Service community together, one step at a time. Together, we can get one step closer to making sure no civil servant faces life’s challenges alone.
