This session will provide an overview of cognitive decline, looking at what it is and how it can affect a person’s thinking, memory, and day-to-day life. It will also explore the impact on families and carers, recognising the emotional and practical challenges they may face while supporting someone living with cognitive decline.

You’ll gain an understanding of common effects of cognitive decline, impacting day to day life.

Liz is an experienced Admiral Nurse with over a decade of experience in dementia care and five years in senior leadership. She splits her time between the Dementia UK Helpline and the Dementia at Work team. As part of the Admiral Nurse Leadership Alumni, she is known for bringing grounded, inclusive, real-world guidance to families and workplaces.
