As Carers Week draws to a close, we’re keen to celebrate our first ever week-long programme of expert-led webinars designed to support people with caring responsibilities.
Carers Week has provided an important opportunity to highlight the challenges many colleagues face alongside their roles and to ensure they know where to turn for support. As Your Charity for Life, we’re here for the moments that matter most. For 140 years, we have supported current, former and retired civil servants and their dependants whenever life gets tricky. We provide financial assistance, practical guidance and wellbeing support, all to ensure that no civil servant faces life challenges alone.
The need for initiatives like these is clear with1 in 10 civil servants will turning to the Charity for help at some point in their lives.
Sessions have covered key topics including maintaining energy and wellbeing, supporting someone with cognitive decline, navigating grief and bereavement, and managing relationships while caring. Speakers included experts from Vital Nutrition, Cruse Bereavement Care, Dementia UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, Relate, Autism and ADHD, The Carer’s Trust alongside contributions from the Cross Government Carers’ Network.
A big thank you to CareTech Foundation for the generous contribution in support of Carers Week:
We are delighted to share that we have awarded a Community Grant of £2,500 to the Charity for Civil Servants, sponsoring their inspirational Carers Week 2026 webinar series.
We are proud to support this important initiative, which will make a meaningful difference to carers across the civil service community and beyond.
Caroline Fielding, Director of Help, Advice and Services said:
We’re really pleased to be hosting our first Carers Week programme. This week is dedicated to helping colleagues with caring responsibilities feel supported, recognised and connected. We know that caring can be both rewarding and challenging, so this programme offers practical advice, shared experiences and connection. We’re especially grateful to the CareTech Foundation for generous £2,500 donation and support.
Colleagues are encouraged to watch back sessions and explore the wider support available.
