For 140 years, the Charity for Civil Servants has been here for colleagues through life’s toughest moments, from mental health and money worries to caring responsibilities, disability, grief and relationship challenges. As we look ahead to the next chapter, we are inviting early-career civil servants to join our Board as Early Career Trustees.

Why become an early career trustee?
As an Early Career Trustee, you will:
- Gain board-level experience and strategic insight
- Build leadership confidence beyond your day role

- Help ensure Your Charity for Life reaches more colleagues
No previous trusteeship experience is required. You will be supported through a tailored development programme, with training and mentoring to help you thrive.
Who we are looking for
We welcome applications from people in the first five years of a Civil Service or public body career, particularly:
- People from underrepresented backgrounds in leadership
- Colleagues with lived experience of early-career pressure
- Anyone ready to contribute ideas, provide constructive challenge and make a difference
