Announcing our Media Partnership with Civil Service World

Civil Service World and the Charity for Civil Servants today announced a new media partnership designed to strengthen support networks and enhance communication within the UK Civil Service community. This collaboration will leverage Civil Service World’s position as the leading independent publication for civil servants with the Charity for Civil Servants’ mission to provide comprehensive support to current, former, and retired civil servants and their dependants, free of charge, across their whole lifetime.

The partnership comes at a time when the Charity for Civil Servants is expanding its reach across the UK Civil Service. The collaboration will help ensure that these and future initiatives receive the visibility they deserve within the Civil Service community via Civil Service World’s engaged central government audience.

The partnership will focus on enhancing awareness of the vital services provided by the Charity for Civil Servants, including financial assistance, mental health support, wellbeing resources, and caring advice ensuring civil servants across all departments and grades know where to turn when they need support, helping to create a more connected and informed Civil Service community.

The media partnership will include regular feature articles highlighting the Charity’s umbrella of support, fundraising campaigns, collaborative content on workplace wellbeing and professional development, and shared promotion of important Civil Service community news and updates.

Jonathan Freeman, CEO of the Charity for Civil Servants, commented

We are delighted to be partnering with the UK’s leading independent publication for civil servants. It will be a chance for us to show that the Charity for Civil Servants stands for civil servants, and stands with the Civil Service community across the whole of the UK.

2026 will be a celebration of the Charity’s 140th year. We know that civil servants, be that current, former or retired, really value the Charity for Civil Servants being at the heart of the Civil Service community. Partnering with Civil Service World gives us an important platform to tell the vital story of our historic mission.

At the heart of this exciting partnership will be the chance to not only signpost civil servants to their charity, whether they’re facing a tough time or want to get involved, but also this trusted publication.

Suzannah Brecknell, editor of Civil Service World, said

Our mission as a publication has always been to support civil servants in their working lives – by sharing good practice, exploring the issues that matter to them and supporting communications across organisational boundaries. We are delighted to be working with the Charity for Civil Servants at a time when civil servants face great change, and the support which the Charity offers matters more than ever.

As the Charity for Civil Servants celebrates its 140th anniversary, it is a great example of how to combine strong heritage with a modern approach, and we are really excited to work together and let more civil servants know about the support and resources which are available to them when times get tough.

Both organisations are committed to supporting the professional development and personal wellbeing of civil servants, recognising the vital role they play in delivering public services across the UK.
