Carlos is the Chair of the Civil Service Carers Network. He became a carer from the age of 20 when his son was born 1 pound 6 ounces, 26 weeks gestation. He came home on oxygen and 4 years later he was diagnosed with ataxic Cerebral palsy, Dyspraxia and Dysarthria. He suffers with Functional Neurological Disorder and has anxiety and severe mental health.

Carlos also cares for his mother and sees it both as his duty and his calling to provide care where he can and support other carers where possible.
